Jalapeño Asparagus
Serves 4 to 6
1 pound asparagus
1/4 cup Sciabica's Jalapeño Olive Oil
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Combine olive oil, garlic salt and pepper in a 1 gallon zip lock bag, shake to stir. Add asparagus to bag and knead until asparagus is completely coated.
Warm a large pan to medium heat. Fill with a single layer of asparagus (do not stack, may take multiple batches depending on pan size). Saute in pan, turning asparagus every 2-3 minutes until tender. Raise heat to medium-high, allow asparagus to turn deep brown on one side.
Sauce:
1/8 cup Sciabica's Sevillano Fall Olive Oil
1 tablespoons Aceto Balsamic
1 tablespoons spicy brown mustard
1 tablespoon honey
Mix ingredients together in a small bowl. Use a small spoon to drizzle sauce over top of asparagus when serving.

A wonderfully pure Jalapeno flavor. The first Sciabica flavored oil we have tried and can't wait to order and try the rest.

My husband and I have been using this oil almost daily since we discovered it several years ago. We buy it by the half gallon and have never had a problem with it going rancid. We like to be able to share whenever we're asked about something we have used it on. We love a lot of their olive oils but this is our favorite.

I use Sciabica's Jalapeno oil to make grilled cheese sandwiches, instead of butter. What a difference! What a sandwich!

There is no product anywhere that compares with this amazing product. We are hooked! And you need to try the Habanero olive oil too....amazing!

I love everything spicy so this is right up my alley. My friends were coming over so I had to use with restraint (or else I would have used my Habanero).
I marinated assorted veggies (asparagus, red bell pepper, mushrooms, green & yellow zucchini) overnight and bbq'd them the next day. Delicious. My friend's loved them.

My wife and I started using this absolutely incredibly tasting olive oil several years ago and use it on just about everything especially salads with a touch of vinegar.

Every time I serve guests green vegetables with Sciabica Jalapeno Olive Oil They ask how it was prepared and say it is the best tasting broccoli, spinach, green bean, fill in the blank, they have ever tasted. This is an extraordinary condiment that brightens and intensifies the natural flavor of the vegetable.
All I have to do is steam the vegetable, drizzle on the jalapeno oil, and add salt. The oil does all the work and I get all the credit.

The Raley's in Merced was having a tasting. We tried the Jalapeno, and had to buy it. We didn't even know what the price was. We are on our third bottle, and use it for all sorts of things - dipping is the best! And marinading on chicken, fish, pork and beef - it tastes great on everything!

I was at the Farmer's Market in SF at the Wharf a number of years ago and purchased the small and medium bottles. Now i never buy less than the 1/2 gallon bottles. I use the oils for everything from cooking eggs, dressings and all means of cooking, including baking. Cannot wait to try the orange and basil.

My first taste of Sciabica's was a little gift pack of flavored oils...since then I have become addicted - using the Jalapeno and Lemon all the time! For hash browns in the morning use the Jalapeno....anything that needs just a litle, flavorful kick. Great rubbed on chicken (so is the lemon) Not overpowering at all. I now order the big bottle!
