This "restaurant size" can is a bit more than 3.5x 28oz cans. The 28oz size has been discontinued by Stanislaus Foods (we simply provide the olive oil).
In days gone by, Italian farm families hand-picked and home-canned tomatoes each summer at the peak of freshness with fresh basil and a kiss of olive oil. It was from these farm families that countryside "trattorias" came into being. And it was this sauce, often seasoned with onion, that trattorias named "alla rustica" (country-style) to denote its uncomplicated, farm-fresh tomato flavor.

Great Sauce been using it for YEARS~

I used this sauce for the last 10 yrs, people RAVE about my sauce, yes I add a few "secret" ingredients.. to make it my own. But this sauce is Fabulous! and thanks to Siabica they made it available in the SW. I used to live in NY and could find this in any corner deli.. in AZ not so much SO THANK YOU SCIABICA!!! :)
